Authentique December Sketch Challenge: Entry 3

I am still having fun with my stash of Authentique paper!  This is my third card creation for Authentique Paper's  December Sketch Challenge.  When I saw this poppy paper from the Gathering collection I immediately fell in love.  Not only because orange is my all time favorite color, but because I also love poppies.  Every spring, California poppies spring up in my front yard and leave a delightful carpet of orange blooms well into October.   This paper deserved to be the star of a card.

Cards are to be based on the sketch below:
"friends" Finished card size is 4 1/4"x5 1/2"
Wouldn't this be a fantastic card for your BFF?  I used the Bloom print and die-cuts from Authentique Paper's Gathering collection.  I lightly sanded the edges and surface of the printed paper to created a distressed look.   The ribbon is from Bobbin Ribbon, brads are from American Crafts and pearl embellishments are from Recollections.

Thanks for stopping by!
