I can hardly believe that my firstborn will turn 8 this summer! As I am sure many of you know, time sure flies when you have little ones! As I started playing around with my Celebrate collection from Authentique Paper, a birthday card started coming together. As I added elements and layers, I thought this would be perfect for my son. This card is not too childish, but still has some fun childlike elements. Cute cards with puppies and balloons no longer suit his personality.
I used the sketch for Authentique Paper's February Sketch challenge as a starting point. The pinwheel is my favorite. It was so easy to make, too. I am thinking I need to make more pinwheels.
