Unique Crafters Challenge #3: Ribbons and Fibers

Welcome back to Unique Crafters Challenge sponsored by Scrapbooking Unique!  This month's challenge is to use ribbons and/or fibers somewhere in your paper crafted creation.  Challenge #3: Ribbons and Fibers,  begins on May 1 and ends at midnight (CST) on May 31.  You can link up three different projects for your chance to win a fantastic prize package!  A winner and two runners up will be announced on June 5.  Be sure to read all of the fine print on the Unique Crafters Challenge blog homepage.

Lately I have been into making paper boxes.  Nothing too out of the ordinary, but there is something fun about making your own gift box.  For this challenge, I made a trio of small gift boxes and decorated them with a variety of ribbons, twine, and other embellishments.  I plan to fill these with small gifts and/or goodies for Mother's Day!

The size of the boxes from L to R are 2"x2", 2"x4", and 2"x3".

Making a square or rectangular box is pretty easy.  All you need is a score board, a craft knife, and some adhesive.   Check out my very first video tutorial showing you how to make a square box HERE or click on the video below!

Supplies
Paper (MME, GCD Studios))
Striped twill ribbon, jute twine (May Arts)
Pink ribbon (Webster's Pages)
Chipboard elements, stamp (Pebbles)
Flower button (Epiphany Crafts)
Ink (VersaMark)
Clear embossing powder (American Crafts)

Have a happy day!
