Skeleton Kid Crafts and a Bony Card

Slacker moms, REJOICE!  I was playing around (again) with my skeleton die from Lifestyle Crafts and came up with a fun and easy Halloween party craft and card that only take a few minutes to put together.

Ready?

Just die cut skeletons, put the parts in a sandwich bag and let the kids assemble the skeleton on their own.

Whaaaat?  That's it!  Kids will think it is fun and you don't have to get all gluey.

Just to double check that this would be a fun cool craft, I gave a set of bones to my kids, ages 6 and 8, and had them assemble their own skeleton.  Here is what they came up with:
Mr Bones by my 6 y.o. daughter
My only tip for little ones would be to suggest starting by putting the head at the top of the paper.  Younger ones tend to start by putting everything smack in the middle of the page, and it is unlikely that it will be either the ribcage or the pelvis. You may also want to encourage them to try using all of the bones to see what they come up with.

When my kids were finished I had some extra bones lying around and put them together with some fun prints from Pebbles Inc. Tricks & Treats collection to make a fun and spooky card.
Not only is the skeleton pretty great, but the individual bones can be used to create other elements.  This bony frame makes me very afraid!  Ooooooh.

Now here is some news that is not so scary--enter coupon code POPPERMIMI at Lifestyle Crafts and receive 20% off of your entire purchase.

Happy haunting!

Amanda
