I just adore heart shaped chocolates boxes, even the cheap ones you buy at the store. There is just something so lovely and romantic about receiving chocolates in a heart-shaped box. This year I set out to make my own heart-shaped box using the pretty papers, twine, rhinestones and pearls from Doodlebug's Lovebirds collection. Check it:
Don't those chocolates look yummy? I can personally attest that they were indeed delicious. I used THIS file from the Silhouette online store to cut the box. I embellished the top of the box with some paper roses, a cute tag, and some heart-shaped rhinestones. That's right, heart shaped rhinestones!
I used a variety of patterns to give the box some trendy appeal. I stuck with reds and pinks for an ultra Valentiney feel.
I die cut three large roses and adhered them to the top of the box. I use a pair of tweezers to gently curl the edges of the rose petals.
I dolled up the tag with some Doodle Twine and a heart-shaped pearl. Don't those little birdies make you want to say, "Awww"?
I can't wait to give this to my Valentine. What will you give to yours?
Have a tweet day!
