Today I am delighted to share one of several projects I have published in the new Birthday Creations Vol. 3 published by Paper Crafts magazine. One of the sections in the magazine is entirely dedicated to party ensembles. There are SO many fantastic party ideas in this issue. You won't be disappointed!
My Mad Men inspired party ensemble is composed of a chalkboard drink menu, invitation, and fedora party hat.
The whole party ensemble was inspired by the crazy idea that I could make a paper fedora. I scoured the entire web for die cutting files and patterns for a 3D fedora, and eventually found THIS pattern. I had to modify the pattern quite a bit so I could adhere the various pieces together. I am in the process of checking to see if I can make the modified pattern and .studio file available on my blog.
To make the tux invitation I drew some rectangles and triangles using Silhouette Designer Edition and voila! a snazzy card was born.
For the drink menu I broke out the chalkstock and die cut the NYC skyline. Pretty swanky, indeed.
This link will take you to the digi issue of Birthday Creations, but there is also a hard copy for sale.
