Stitched mini albums and journals are some of my favorite things to make. They are easy to put together, inexpensive, and my kids love them! My daughter loves to fill them with notes and drawings and is always eager for another one.
The bright and cheery colors in Doodlebug Design's Fruit Stand collection are perfect for a summer mini album.
To make your own mini album, start by stitching a length of ribbon along the front of your journal cover. Next, fold your journal cover in half, creating a nice crease.
Layer the contents of your mini album, including pages, envelopes, tags, etc., on the inside of your cover and stitch down the crease in your album cover. TIP: Score your pages and inserts before stitching.
Add a variety of embellishments, journaling spots, stickers, etc., to make your mini album extra fun.
I love adding tags to my stitched albums. They are just so fun and cute. See that little green striped pocket on the right? I stuffed it with adhesive photo corners. No messy adhesives necessary!
Envelopes make for fun secret pockets. The stickers on the envelope spell "Secrets". The envelopes are my daughter's favorite album elements.
On the last page, I added a pocket and filled it with die cut tags (Avery Elle) with journaling prompts.
Thanks for stopping by!
